Terrible Experience with LawnStarter

Absolutely terrible experience with this company. I scheduled a service, but the professional never showed up on the scheduled date.

When I inquired, they casually informed me that they have a 2-4 day window for service, so you're left wondering if and when your lawn will actually be serviced. Even after waiting, there's no guarantee they'll show up. The person assigned to my service never responded to my messages, and it became clear that even the company itself has no idea about their professionals' schedules or how to reach them. To make matters worse, I discovered that despite being able to schedule any day, they might not work on weekends!

This is an example of extremely poor management and a complete lack of respect for the customer's time. Save yourself the frustration and avoid wasting your time and money on such an irresponsible company.

I had someone come to cut the grass, after I had rescheduled the service for another day. They sent someone else out long after my reply.

I had a friend come and cut the back yard because as this time it looked like a hay field. Soon after that your company came and only needed to cut the front yard which is much smaller than the back.

Since then I have hire my neighbor. You service is no longer needed please cancel.thank you

Set up an online appointment for September 7, no one showed up. They came out today and I already had a personal friend come out and do it for me by now. In addition, the lawnmower person may have stepped in cat *** and then wiped it all over my front porch, as shown on my cameras.

This company offered lawn mowing for $19.00 and instead charged us $50.00. They said it was because our grass was over 9 inches, which it was not.

We hadn't had enough rain to make it grow. There may have been a sprout here and there that was maybe 6 inches up, but the entire yard was under 4 inches. Then, they came back and mowed again before it had even grown. Now, today they are out there mowing and the grass isn't even an inch high.

You can't see anything blowing out of the mower.

They are a rip-off and do a lousy job. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, period.

Phenomenal Charges for Service NEVER RENDER

At my house located at 2894 Brady Lake Rd, Ravenna, OH, I cancelled the lawn starter service last October. In April of this year, I began to receive bills for a service I never asked for.

And, to make it worse, I checked the property myself to find that nothing was done to it. The grass was still very long and nothing had been trimmed. If I have to get a lawyer to fight this, I will.

But this is the last time I am contacting you to tell you to stop harassing me with these bogus bills. I don't owe you a thing!

Stop spamming people you don't know anything about at 9 in the a.m. SOME of us work nights and that is our sleep time.

You need to be awakened at 3 a.m.

by an unknown company to see how it feels. We don't need your overpriced service in an apartment!!!

It's been over two hours now. I can't get a hold of anyone, can't get back into my account, and can't reach the people who were supposed to mow my yard on the 3rd. I paid since they came out on short notice and mowed my yard today.

Want to know if my two jobs have been done?

I had to make two phone calls trying to see who's doing the job and when they're going to start. I called customer service I believe and they wanted verification.

I have over 200 pieces of property and couldn't exactly remember the exact street but gave him the location and he wouldn't verify me.

I gave my name, phone number. He received all that info so it kind of pissed me off.

Damaged property and no one listened

Just wanted to notify that I have been extremely disappointed with the lack of communication between me and Monica, the provider, and how they have damaged my property due to not listening to my requests. Though she is more than happy to communicate that a task I paid for was more challenging and would cost more than I was initially charged, she never responded when I asked what the cost would be, over 3 weeks ago.

I repeatedly asked them to not cut the lawn as short as they were, they neglected the area around a tree in my front yard which then caused the grass to die. Never followed up with the weeds throughout my driveway, the primary communication was to inform me that they were not going to come for various reasons on multiple occasions.

I am putting this in a review stating that I tried giving the benefit of the doubt but even when I spoke to the team in person they did a great job on my tree that day, after having paid for it over a month prior, but still did cute the grass too short and food not blow it off my patio. My property is essentially dead now, and I have to replace it all.

Really disappointed - wasted my time and money

The company phone system is good to put you through to the sales folk right away when you call first time.

Once the so-called service is setup, you realize the sales guy missed documenting the essential detail to the service team and you are left high and dry.

Try calling their customer service, you are in a perpetual wait mode as the call is transferred to vacuum.

Simply put, they are not willing to entertain customer issues. Neither their customer support line is genuine.

But charging your credit card for a mandatory 3 service calls is prompt, even if you go ahead and cancel.

It is a total rip-off and a waste of time/energy with them.

FYI - The issue we have reported is with the LawnStarter company in Marysville, OH. There may be other locations but we have not contacted them for any service ever.
